Tropical Storm “Ivo” approaching Clarion Island, Mexico

Tropical Storm "Ivo" formed on August 21, 2019, as the 9th named storm of the 2019 Pacific hurricane season. The system is now approaching Clarion Island, Mexico.
At 09:00 UTC on August 22 (03:00 MDT), Tropical Storm "Ivo" was located about 735 km (455 miles) south of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. Maximum sustained winds were 95 km/h (60 mph), with gusts up to 110 km/h (70 mph).
The minimum barometric pressure was 998 hPa, and the system was moving west at 17 km/h (10 mph). Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 185 km (115 miles) from the center.

A Mexican Navy automatic station at Clarion Island recently reported a wind to 72 km/h (45 mph).
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
