We have temporarily disabled the Flash Info Scrollbar on our website. This decision was made to ensure a smoother and more reliable browsing experience. While we understand that many of you found this feature useful, it was causing occasional slowdowns and behaving unpredictably.

We are actively working on developing a better way to deliver the same information.

The legacy homepage is now live at https://watchers.news/legacy-homepage/

June 17, 2023

Since many of you asked for it in our website survey, we’ve created a new page where you can browse all latest articles in a simple interface. You can access it by clicking on a button on the homepage or by visiting https://watchers.news/latest-articles/. You can also bookmark that page and visit it whenever you want a quick overview of recently published articles.

Some of you also said you liked the old homepage better and were quite articulate about it. As a result, we are in the process of building that same-looking homepage on this new platform. The ‘legacy homepage’ won’t become the default homepage for everyone, but we’ll make a way for you to remember which homepage you prefer so in effect, any time you come back to the site you’ll land on the homepage you prefer. The option to remember your preference turned out to be a much more demanding task than designing the page so we’ll most likely go live with the legacy homepage first and then add the functionality to remember your preference later.

We’ve already incorporated some other suggestions from the survey without publicly announcing them. Some of them are: (1) make a ‘close’ (X) button on the automated info scroller at the bottom of the site, and (2) improve the related articles module…

Once again, thank you all for taking the time to fill out the survey. The invitation to fill it out will be turned off soon, but you can always send us an email with your questions and suggestions or if you are our supporter, you can always contact us live via chat.
