Tornado hits Quebec, injuring 1 and leaving 105 000 customers without power

A confirmed F1 tornado swept through the town of Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan, about 50 km (31 miles) north of Montreal, Quebec, Canada on July 11, 2019.
The twister touched down at about 18:30 LT and was about 200 m (656 yards) in diameter.
It caused significant damage on the grounds of Camping Horizon where trailers were damaged, trees stripped of the branches and hydro lines severed, the Montreal Gazette reports. One person was injured after the tornado caused a trailer she was in to roll over.
At least 25 trailers were damaged, camp officials said. Luckily, most of the campsite was empty at the time as residents were attending a public consultation about a small airport being planned in the region.
At the height of the storm, 105 000 customers in the region were left without power. Only 14 224 remained without power as of 10:00 LT, July 12.
