The storm produced the heaviest snowfall recorded in the City of Virginia Beach since 1989, with reports indicating totals of up to 32 cm (12.5 inches) through Wednesday. Snowfall rates reached up to 2.5 cm (1 inch) per hour. An unofficial snowfall total of 27.5 cm (10.8 inches) was also reported.

Norfolk International Airport (ORF) reported 26 cm (10.2 inches) of snowfall by Thursday morning, making it the eighth-heaviest snowfall recorded in the area since records began in 1890.

The storm led to multiple accidents across the state as snow accumulated on roads, creating hazardous travel conditions and causing vehicles to lose control.

The City of Virginia Beach closed all offices and facilities from Wednesday to Thursday due to worsening storm conditions, advising residents to remain indoors during the hazardous weather.
