A strong and shallow earthquake registered by the USGS as M6.3 hit the Andreanof Islands, Aleutian Islands, Alaska at 00:54 UTC on November 24, 2019. The agency is reporting a depth of 25.1 km (15.5 miles). EMSC is reporting M6.4 at a depth of 40 km (24.8 miles).
The epicenter was located 84 km (52 miles) ESE of Adak, Alaska.
There are about 100 people living within 100 km (62 miles).
1 000 people are estimated to have felt light shaking
