A strong and shallow earthquake registered by the USGS as M6.3 hit south of Bali, Indonesia at 17:45 UTC on March 18, 2020 (01:45 LT, March 19). The agency is reporting a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles). EMSC is reporting the same magnitude and depth.
The epicenter was located 256 km (158 miles) S of Nusa Dua, Indonesia.
There are no people living within 100 km (62 miles).
The USGS issued a green alert for shaking-related fatalities and economic losses. There are likely to be no affected structures in this region.
