At least six people dead as flash floods hit Algeria

Six people including two children were killed in 48 hours as flash floods swept away their cars in heavy rainfall over northwest Algeria, rescue services announced on April 26, 2018.
Civil defense spokesperson Colonel Farouk Achour told the children and a man died when a valley flooded on late April 25th in the Tiaret region, 330 km (205 miles) southwest of Algiers, according to AFP.
One of the children was earlier reported as missing.
Three other people drowned on night April 24, when a river burst its banks in El-Bayadh, 800 km (497 miles) southwest of the capital.
