Residents across all affected regions should cover or bring cold-sensitive plants indoors, insulate exposed outdoor pipes, and ensure that pets have adequate shelter.

Those using space heaters are advised to maintain clear space around heating units and avoid using grills or generators indoors due to carbon monoxide risks. The combination of freezing temperatures and strong winds will create hazardous conditions for the elderly, children, and individuals without access to heated shelter.
