A Red Flag Warning has been issued for all of South Texas, along with a Wind Advisory for the inland portions. Strong and dry west-northwest winds of 32–48 km/h (20–30 mph) will follow a passing cold front creating critical fire weather through Tuesday, March 4.
The warning will remain in effect from 08:00 local time (LT) to 21:00 LT on Tuesday, while the advisory will remain in effect till 18:00 LT on Tuesday.
Gusts of up to 56–72 km/h (35–45 mph) along with low relative humidity of 5 to 10% will rapidly dry out fuels, creating critical fire weather conditions across the region.

The dry and windy conditions will create difficult travel conditions for large vehicles, while winds could blow away loose objects, which could be dangerous.
The National Weather Service (NWS) advised citizens to avoid open flames or sparks and keep vehicles away from dry grass during the warning period.
