A very bright fireball was recorded streaking across the sky over southeast China's province of Guangdong at 17:50 UTC on July 2, 2018 (00:50 local time, July 3).

According to EXOSS Citizen Science Project, the fireball crossed over Guangdong's Buolo County and lasted more than 5 seconds.

Although its middle part was covered by clouds and the last part blocked by a building, it is still possible to notice its great brightness.

The event comes just one month after another very bright fireball exploded over the Chinese city of Jinghong in Yunnan Province.

According to witness reports, that event lasted for about 2 seconds and was followed by two sonic booms, indicating the object penetrated deep into the atmosphere.
