Category 3 Hurricane “Roslyn” made landfall in northern Nayarit, west-central Mexico around 11:20 UTC on October 23, 2022, with maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h (120 mph) and a minimum central pressure of 960 hPa.

Orlene rapidly strengthened into a Category 4 hurricane over the past two days and is now weakening as it approaches southwestern Mexico. Weakening is expected to continue during the next day or so, however, Orlene is forecast to be a strong hurricane when it passes near or over the Islas Marias, and remain a hurricane when it reaches southwestern Mexico.

Hurricane “Agatha” made landfall just west of Puerto Angel, Mexico at 21:00 UTC on May 30, 2022, with maximum sustained winds of 165 km/h (105 mph), making it the strongest hurricane to make landfall in May along the Pacific coast of Mexico. Agatha is the first named storm and the first hurricane of the 2022 Pacific hurricane season (May 15 – November 30).
