Over the past couple of weeks, heavy rains and floods in Mozambique claimed the lives of at least 117 people.

    Heavy rainfall affecting southern Mozambique since February 8, 2023, has caused widespread flooding, particularly in the capital Maputo and the rest of Maputo Province.
