Powerful waterspout slams Turkish coast, leaving trail of destruction
A waterspout formed near Kumluca, Turkye’s Antalya Province on March 5, 2024, and reached the coastline, damaging buildings, vehicles, and greenhouses, and leaving at least 6 people injured.
In addition, heavy rains flooded roads and underpasses while strong winds damaged the roof of a building belonging to the Kumluca Forest Management Directorate.
The mayor of Kumluca said that the extent of the damage is still unknown. A similar tornado also struck Demre district on the same day and damaged greenhouses.
