Large waterspout near the coast of Liguria, Italy
A large waterspout formed near the coast of Finale Ligure in the Gulf of Genoa, Savona Province, Italy on March 3, 2024.
Liguria was on Yellow weather alert on March 3, following several days of bad weather. Landslides were recorded in the metropolitan area of Genoa as well as in the city, Italy 24 reports.
The Genoa Fire Brigade said they performed many interventions due to falling trees and dangerous objects carried by the strong winds which reached gusts of up to 120 km/h (75 mph).
