Floods hit Key West, in Florida, after a bout of heavy rains on Monday, February 24, 2025, marked the area’s wettest day February day in 13 years.

Key West Airport recorded its wettest February day in 13 years on February 24, after receiving 87.6 mm (3.45 inches) of rain. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast office in Key West experienced its second-wettest day on record, with 168.1 mm (6.62 inches) of rainfall on the same day.
The highest February rainfall recorded at Key West Airport occurred on February 5, 2012, with 110.2 mm (4.34 inches) in a single day. The wettest day on record for the Key West forecast office was September 12, 2020, when it measured 288.6 mm (11.36 inches) of rain.
Images shared online depicted partially submerged vehicles moving through floodwaters that covered roads. A local bar shared images of their establishment being surrounded by murky flood waters following the heavy rains.
