ANGUCH representatives said the floods that hit the capital were of rare intensity.
“The consequences of these floods are enormous. Many homes have been damaged, some have even been completely destroyed by the force of the waters. Entire families are now homeless, forced to seek refuge in often precarious conditions. The floods have left behind a landscape of desolation, where the material possessions of the inhabitants have been washed away or damaged, leaving the survivors in deep distress.”
In the town of Dixinn, the Maison de la Presse, a hotel located in the Minière district, was also flooded and suffered significant damage. Alpha Diallo, an assistant at the hotel, reported that the conference room was flooded and that staff at the entrance and two other rooms had fallen.
