Very bright fireball over New Jersey, U.S.
A very bright fireball was recorded over New Jersey, U.S. at 07:44 UTC (03:44 LT) on April 10, 2024. The event lasted between 3 and 7 seconds.
The American Meteor Society (AMS) received 34 reports from Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania users.
Some witnesses reported seeing a bright green fireball streaking through the pre-dawn sky, while others reported a blue flash in the sky.
Preliminary trajectory calculation shows the fireball moving in a SW direction, starting above Bridgeton, New Jersey, and ending somewhere above Kennedyville, Maryland.
