Bright green fireball recorded over Montgomery, Alabama

A bright green fireball was recorded above Montgomery, Alabama around 08:00 UTC (03:00 CDT) on September 19, 2017. The event lasted between 1 and 2 seconds and was recorded by a security camera.
At this time, the American Meteor Society has no reports about this event. The Montgomery Advertiser quoted Bill Cooke of NASA Meteor Environment Office saying the fireball was a fragment of a comet measuring about 13- 15 cm (5 – 6 inches) in diameter.
The object hurtled into the atmosphere about 87 km (54 miles) above Highway 84 in Conecuh County at a speed of approximately 133 600 km/h (83 000 mph) and burned up about 53 km (33 miles) in the air, according to Cooke.
This is the second fireball sighting in Montgomery in two years. The last one was recorded on December 18, 2015. It landed somewhere in the woods of Henry County, Georgia.
