New video from North Texas tornadic supercells on April 26, 2015, including the stovepipe tornado near Rio Vista, TX by TVNweather!

Storm chasers were all over these storms providing life-saving reports until the tornado threat passed after midnight. At least 4 tornadoes were confirmed south and southwest of DFW.

While racing south to beat a tornado, TVN storm chasers Courtney Knight and Mike Scantlin encounter a roadblock, intense south-westerly winds on the East side of a "confirmed large and dangerous tornado", and 20 minutes of hurricane-force sustained winds! As the chasers wait out the storm at Big B's Truck Stop in Itasca, TX, a huge swath of extreme straight-line winds batters them for 20+ minutes as the slow-moving supercell propagated East.
