Ground under Fukushima Unit 4 sinking, structure on verge of complete collapse

Though the mainstream media has long since abandoned the issue, the precarious situation at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility in Japan is only continuing to worsen, according to a prominent Japanese official. During a recent interview, Mitsuhei Murata, the former Japanese Ambassador to both Switzerland and Senegal, explained that the ground beneath the plant’s Unit 4 is gradually sinking, and that the entire structure is very likely on the verge of complete collapse.

This is highly concerning, as Unit 4 currently holds more than 1,500 spent nuclear fuel rods, and a collective 37 million curies of deadly radiation that, if released, could make much of the world completely uninhabitable. As some Natural News readers will recall, Unit 4 contains the infamous elevated cooling pool that was severely damaged following the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami that struck on March 11, 2011.

According to the Secretary of former Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, the ground beneath Unit 4 has already sunk by about 31.5 inches since the disaster, and this sinking has taken place unevenly. If the ground continues to sink, which it is expected to, or if another earthquake of even as low as a magnitude six occurs in the region, the entire structure could collapse, which would fully drain the cooling pool and cause a catastrophic meltdown.

“If Unit 4 collapses, the worse case scenario will be a meltdown, and a resultant fire in the atmosphere. That will be the most unprecedented crisis that man has ever experienced. Nobody will be able to approach the plants … as all will have melted down and caused a big fire,” said Murata during the interview. “Many scientists say if Unit 4 collapses, not only will Japan lie in ruin, but the entire world will also face serious damages.”

Because there are 31 nuclear units of a similar type to Unit 4 in the U.S., the American government has been downplaying the disaster to protect its own reputation, alleges Murata. This is, in fact, the primary reason why so little has been reported on the severity of Fukushima following the disaster. The American empire, in other words, does not want the world, nor the American people, to know that there is the possibility of literally dozens of Fukushima situations occurring on American soil, should the right disaster situations arise.

  1. i DONT KNOW HOW PEOPLE CAN EVEN ADVOCATE FOR THIS INDUSTRY ANYMORE .FOR ALL THOSES WHO THINK THIS IS SAFE,i SUGGEST U SAVE UR SOUL AND MIND AND DO A LITTLE SEARCH ON THE SUBJECT.FIRST SEARCH ACCIDENTS,THEN LAWSUITS,ESTIMATED DEATHS FOR FUCKASHIMA DISASTAR.WHEN WILL U TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR BEING LIED TO,AND WHEN WILL U REVISE UR STATEMENT

  2. the only way to stop nato and others efforts to hold citizens liable for this industry is to find these countries leaders quilty of crimes against humanity. The artic and greenland could be melting from massive nuclear contamination from decades of exposure from legal and illegal dumping.Massive nuclear accident ,nuclear bombs abanded on the ocean floor.Massive atmiospheric contamination could easily be linked to Sandy, drought conditions. They keep increasing the allowable amount of nuclear parts in our food.Propaganda has enslaved millions to think it is saFE,PEACFUL,YET DONT KNOW SIMPLE SCIENCE.IT IS SO OUTRAGIOUS AND IN OUR FACE ARRAGANT THAT THEY NEED TO BE CHARGED WITH CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY

  3. The people of this planet can’t even get along with each other in any fashion. I’m starting to believe we do not have the capacity to understand how! Everyone wants to win, and we would if we could just come together, or is that just to 60’s for y’all? And whats really laughable is that we really think that a more intellegent species from somewhere in this universe of ours is really going to let us land and populate and destroy their planet? How arogant can one be?! I’m not the most scientifically minded human on this planet so all of you mean and arogant inhabitants of our beautiful planet need not to tell me this. But at least what I am saying makes sense. Divide and conquer!!! Polute and distroy!!! And or yes, of course by all means lets spread our disease throughout the universe!!! God help us!

  4. I agree with Mike, Actually with out asking or pushing those who are in charge of looking after us and our Countries. I’m fucking shocked it hasn’t started yet – Making a new site, removing the rods, pumping that water out of there. Who needs a shot in the head with a brick to smarten them up a little. Who? Japan will get another quake with an epicenter close enough to Fukushima. #4 has enough cesium = to the other 3 reactors and way more. If that gets out the ocean is dead, our coastal lines all across the world will die. Food chain will die, oxygen production will die. We will die too.. slowly and painfully.

  5. This is alarming stuff. But hasn’t there already been earthquakes of the magnitude specified in the vicinity of Fukushima since the Ambassador spoke? The events of 3/11 were a terrible disaster. Tens of thousands died due to tsunami. Entire towns washed away. None have died due to the multiple meltdowns.

I favor using nuclear to boil water because it’s so environmentally better than coal, oil and even gas when things are running smoothly, and that advantage holds up even when plant-wrecking disasters are considered.

Every source of energy has its disadvantages. Yet, cheap and reliable electric power lets your average Joe live better, in many ways, than Kings of old.

  6. Would you guys rather us continue burning copious amounts of coal to get power? Nuclear energy is the cleanest and safest type of energy by far. Do some research before you post an article like this. The plant in Fukushima was extremely old and was not being run properly. When procedures are followed and facilities kept up to date, nuclear energy is our best chance at long term survival. Unless you want to pollute the air with coal until we run out and cant breath the air anymore.

    1. Dude. When the phytoplankton in the ocean (note I do not say pacific ocean, as this is a man-made concept..all oceans are one) mutates enough and stops producing oxygen, there won’t even be any Air left to pollute. 600 days ongoing contamination of ocean with no end in sight from one incident. If it were not for the hilarity of reading comments likes yours I would probably have to watch reruns of robot chicken to fill the time waiting for humanity to perish.

    2. You are absolutely full-on, mongoloid retardedif you think that nuclear power is safe. Tell that to all the people in Japan and the northern hemisphere. You sound like the type of person who would sell thier mom to pimp to make a quick buck. Nuclear power is a hell of a way just to boil some water to turn into energy. Do you wipe your ass with $100 dollar bills by any chance? Its really sad that the world is filled with ignorant dumb-shits such as yourself.

    3. As much as I hate to say this, hell yes I would rather burn the coal. Coal plants are bad for the planet, they poison the water with mercury and arsenic. However, that can be mitigated far more easily than can the result of a large meltdown. That is not even touching on the subject of nuclear waste. That being said, even the small chance of meltdown is too much. If you want to build nuclear plants, fine ,do it on the moon. There is no atmosphere there to ignite, and no life to destroy. I personally would like to see ballot initiatives take place in all 50 states to institute a 1000% tax on any revenue made from nuclear energy. I think that may put things in proper perspective. P.S. I do not give two shits how many jobs that would destroy.

    4. there are some options between hell and fire (aka nuclear power and coal / oil burning): wind, sun, water, waves, tides, etc. that would supply enough energy if it had a better lobby – or a better profitable argument for the natural born winner society. and why will this dumpheads first win all and than destroy everything? because you just give them the power, time and respect. talk and do, its easy and instantly bringing effect. unpower these guys by self reduction of energy, boycot buying and selling their goods, operating with alternative energy supplies and most important, speak with your kids, neighbours, parents and friends about it to infect all with the antibody against suicidal stupidity and dullness. dont you see you dont see?

  7. While there is time, and a lot of time has already passed, unload the rods from the pool. By now a second pool should be constructed and the process of transfer underway. If we (the US) think this will stay on that side of the pacific they are wrong. No it won’t fix the problem when the hot core hits ocean water and expoldes, but at least lessen the overall saturation of the northeren hemispher. I guess Mitt or BO won’t be commenting on this tonight.
