Magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook Kerman province in Iran near Iraq border at 17:40:39 UTC on April 18th. Iran Seismological Center recorded epicenter at depth of 62 km (38.5 miles). The epicenter was located 2 Km of Roodbar, 28 Km of Kahnooj, 54 Km of Anbar, 129 km (80 miles) SSW of Bam and 1056 Km from Tehran (27.97 N ; 58.10 E). EMSC registered magnitude 5.2.



Seismic networks of IRSC have recorded more than 780 earthquakes in Iran with magnitudes greater than 1.0 from 20 February 2012 to 19 March 2012.
Thirteen earthquakes with magnitudes greater than 4 have been recorded in this period of time. The biggest event occurred near Ravar, also in Kerman province .
