    A shallow M5.3 earthquake struck near Paphos, Cyprus, at 16:23 LT (14:23 UTC) on November 12, 2025, producing a rare rapid aftershock cluster. More than 20 aftershocks were recorded within the first hours, including M3.9 and M4.3 events occurring five and ten minutes after the mainshock. By the morning of November 13, the total number of aftershocks had reached 50.
