Region 1532 unleashed another M-class solar flare – M6.1
On July 28, 2012 at 20:56 UTC Region 1532 unleashed M6.1 solar flare. The solar flare did genarate Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) it does not look Earth directed. The sunspot is still too far off the disk center to be very geoeffective. This will change in the following days as the Region 1532 turns toward Earth.
Associated with the event was a Tenflare (370 sfu), a Type II radio sweep with an estimated speed of 1387 km/s, and a Type IV radio sweep. Further analysis will be conducted
as more data becomes available.
Potential Impacts: Area of impact centered primarily on sub-solar point on the sunlit side of Earth. Radio – Limited blackout of HF (high frequency) radio communication for tens of minutes.
