Thunderstorm activity has diminished in association with a non-tropical low pressure system located about 370 km (230 miles) east of Cape Race, Newfoundland. The Low is now moving rapidly north-northeastward at 50 to 55 km/h (30 to 35 mph) over cold waters, and development is not expected. This system has a low chance (near 0 percent) of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
