This has led to significant flooding and mudslides and isolated entire communities. Sara made landfall over Belize on Sunday, November 17, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h (40 mph). Rainfall totals of over 1 000 mm (39.3 inches) are forecast for some regions in the coming week due to the storm.
