A glacial outburst flood has been developing in the Leirá syðri and Skálm rivers, southern Iceland, following rising water levels and electrical conductivity measured since July 7, 2025. Conditions continued to intensify as of 15:00 LT on July 9.

More than 440 earthquakes have been recorded since June 17, 2025, within the Michoacán–Guanajuato Volcanic Field, specifically in the Tancítaro–Parícutin region of Michoacán, Mexico, in an ongoing seismic swarm associated with magmatic activity. The last eruptive period in the field occurred from 1943 to 1952 (VEI 4).

A swarm of hundreds of small earthquakes was detected beneath the summit of Mount Rainier, Washington, starting at 01:29 LT (08:29 UTC) on July 8, 2025, prompting increased monitoring by the USGS Cascades Volcano Observatory and the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.

A major explosive eruption occurred at Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki, Indonesia, on July 7, 2025, producing an ash column that rose to over 19 km (63 000 feet) above sea level (a.s.l.). The Aviation Color Code was raised to Red, resulting in the cancellation of multiple flights to and from Bali. Heavy ashfall is falling over the nearby villages.

New activity/unrest was reported for two volcanoes from June 25 to July 1, 2025. During the same period, ongoing activity was reported for 20 volcanoes.

A strong explosive eruption occurred at Shinmoedake volcano, part of the Kirishima volcanic complex on Kyushu Island, Japan, at approximately 15:37 JST (06:37 UTC) on July 3, 2025, sending an ash plume up to 6.7 km (22 000 feet) above sea level (a.s.l.). The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) had raised the volcanic alert to Level 3 on June 27, following increased volcanic unrest.

An earthquake swarm with the strongest quake registered as an M4.6 quake struck the Campi Flegrei area in southern Italy on June 30, 2025, prompting evacuations and train delays in the region. It was the strongest tremor to strike the region in 40 years, surpassing the M4.4 quakes of March and May.

Brazilian tourist Juliana Marins, 26, was found dead in a steep ravine at Mount Rinjani, Lombok, Indonesia, on June 24, 2025. Marins fell into the ravine at approximately 06:30 local time (LT) on June 21, 2025, during a hike on the slopes of the active stratovolcano.
