The storm is forecast to strengthen through the night of May 29 but weaken late on May 30 as it moves into a drier environment with increasing wind shear.
The system is expected to continue moving northwestward through May 29 and turn northward on May 30 under the influence of a mid-level cut-off low.

The system is forecast to weaken into a tropical low before approaching the Baja California Peninsula. It is expected to become post-tropical by May 31 and dissipate by the end of the week.
Based on the latest track and size forecasts, tropical-storm-force winds are not expected to affect the coasts of mainland Mexico or the Baja California Peninsula.
