Inside EF-2 tornado that ripped through Longwood, Florida
An EF-2 tornado struck Longwood, Florida, on Monday, March 10, 2025, damaging several homes before moving over the FOX 35 News studio in Lake Mary during a live broadcast.

The tornado produced winds of approximately 185 km/h (115 mph) and remained on the ground for nearly 5 minutes, covering a path of about 1.8 km (2.9 miles) through Seminole County.
A two-story home in Longwood collapsed, but the two residents inside escaped unharmed. The tornado also caused structural damage to several homes, overturned vehicles, and downed power lines, leading to power outages affecting more than 3 500 customers.
Emergency management officials urged residents to stay indoors, citing hazards from debris and damaged infrastructure, particularly downed power lines.
