Tornado hits Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina, damaging over 20 homes

A small tornado swept through the village of Mišin Han near Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 3, 2024, leaving significant structural damage.

According to local media reports, the affected area is reported to have more than 20 damaged homes. However, no casualties were accounted for by the officials.

Residents said the tornado lasted just a few minutes, but with ‘catastrophic’ consequences.

On June 5, Banja Luka city administration declared a state of emergency and a state of natural disaster for the Mišin Han community due to the damage caused by the devastating storm.
