At least 17 people were killed and 11 injured after another major dust storm hit India's state of Uttar Pradesh on the evening of June 1, 2018.
According to state officials, most of the deaths were caused by falling trees and house collapse.
The worst of the storm hit the district of Moradabad where at least 7 people died.
This is the third major dust storm to hit the state over the past 30 days. The latest event brought the state's death toll to 147 (the number is unofficial).
While dust storms and thunderstorms are common in the country at this time, the intensity appears to be anomalous.
