Large sinkhole opens in China’s Jiangsu, swallows a van and a tree

A large sinkhole opened up on a busy road of Nantong city, east China's Jiangsu province on Saturday, June 10, 2017, after heavy rains hit the region.
The hole immediately swallowed a minivan and continued to expand, engulfing parts of pavement and a nearby tree. Video of the event shows an underground pipe burst after the hole opened.
There were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the sinkhole is still under investigation.
