Geomagnetic storm in progress!
Geomagnetic K-index of 5 alert is issued by Space Weather Prediction Center. Kp-indices of 5 or greater indicate storm-level geomagnetic activity. Geomagnetic storms have been associated with satellite surface charging and increased atmospheric drag.
Speed of solar winds is curently 465.1 km/sec with density of 4.8 protons/cm3. R2 radio blackout level is in effect ( Limited blackout of HF radio communication on sunlit side, loss of radio contact for tens of minutes and degradation of low-frequency navigation signals for tens of minutes).
Planetary K-index
Now: Kp= 5 storm
24-hr max: Kp= 5 storm

Thanks for some other informative web site. The place else may just I get that type of information written in such an ideal method? I have a venture that I am just now operating on, and I have been at the look out for such information.

Well, it already did! When solar flare take place on Sun, a coronal mass ejection (CME) travel to the Earth (if it is earth-directed) in form of solar winds and it brushes Earth’s magnetic field. That’s when geomagnetic storms took place. Earth’s magnetosphere and ionosphere are then dissrupted. This process can cause particularly strong auroras in large regions around Earth’s magnetic poles. It took about 1-6 days to reach the Earth.

When will it reach the earth?
