Tornado kills 1, damages 165 homes in West Java, Indonesia
A strong tornado swept through West Java, Indonesia on December 30, 2018, killing one person and damaging 165 homes.
The tornado touched down in Panguragan Kulon village in Panguragan, Cirebon around 15:30 local time, Sunday.
According to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), the tornado killed 1 person and injured 9 others. At least 165 homes were damaged as well as 2 prayer rooms.
Most of the area was left without power.
