Dust blows between Africa and Arabian peninsula
Dust blows between Africa and the Middle East, over the Red Sea, Bab-el-Mandeb Strait and Gulf of Aden. It is difficult to ascertain whether the dust originates from the Arabian Peninsula’s Rub al’Khali Desert or the Sahara Desert, or from both. However, several areas of thicker plumes can be seen near the right edge and just south of the strait.
