Magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck off the east coast of Kamchatka

According to USGS seismograph records, the magnitude 5.8 earthquake strike off the east coast of Kamchatka Peninsula on July 26, 2011 at 06:17:38 UTC. The epicenter was 83km (51 miles) east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy and 364 km (226 miles) northeast of Severo-Kuril’sk, Kuril Island.  The depth of quake was at 43.8 km (27.2 miles). EMSC recorded magnitude 5.7.
