30 injured as storm hits Essen during a rap concert, Germany

A wall of LED screens fell from the stage at an open-air rap concert in Germany during a storm on August 31, injuring 30 people.
The incident happened while rappers Marteria and Casper were performing in Essen City, where over 18 000 people attended. The rappers went on with their performances but eventually stopped after continuous storms battered the area.
German weather spokesperson noted that "There was a short but powerful storm," adding that the weather services had also released a storm warning at 19:30 (05:30 UTC.)
According to reports, two people are suffering from life-threatening injuries while around 150 had to undergo treatment due to shock.
