Landslide buries Mirage Hotel in China’s Hubei Province

15 people were trapped after a landslide hit a part of Mirage Hotel in Chengguan town of Nanzhang County, central China's Hubei province around 11:30 UTC (19:30 CST) on January 20, 2017.
According to Xinhua, rescue workers have pulled five survivors from the debris of the three-storey building, of whom two died in hospital. 10 people are still missing.
Firefighters in charge of the investigation said around 3 000 cubic meters of debris slid down a slope behind the hotel, trapping hotel workers and guests on the first floor.

There was no heavy rain in this region over the past couple of days and the cause of the collapse is under investigation.
