Magnitude 6.0 earthquake – Luzon, Philippines

A strong earthquake 6.0 magnitude occurred in the Philippines at 00:27 UTC. Preliminary data are reporting the epicenter at 152 km from Dagupan, Luzon and it is almost on top of the subduction fault line along the coast.

USGS registered magnitude 6.0 with epicenter 152 km (94 miles) WNW of Olongapo, 154 km (95 miles) WSW of Dagupan, 171 km (106 miles) WNW of Angeles  and 230 km (142 miles) WNW of Manila, Philippines (15.467°N, 119.031°E) at depth of 14.6 km (9.1 miles) Phivolcs reports a magnitude of 6.0 at a depth of 16km. The epicenter following Phivolcs is 94 km from Paluig. EMSC reports a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 at a depth of 80 km. Other agencies are still calculating the data.

There was no tsunami alerts issued.
