New cyclone forming north of New Zeeland

Long range computer models, which accurately predicted Cyclone Yasi’s exact path and strength up to to 10 days in advance, are now picking a new cyclone forming north of New Zealand over the next 7 days, the WeatherWatch reports.
This afternoon, the Fiji Meteorological Service has officially announced that Tropical Cyclone Atu has formed near Vanuatu. The cyclone is still moving slowly at a walking speed of 7 km/h, which is double what it was this morning. Winds remain sustained around 64 km/h with gusts to 83km/h and the cyclone is intensifying.
