Major X1.1 solar flare erupts from Active Region 2994

x1-1 solar flare april 17, 2022

A major solar flare measuring X1.1 at its peak erupted from newly numbered Active Region 2994 at 03:34 UTC on April 17, 2022. The event started at 03:17 UTC and ended at 03:51. A coronal mass ejection (CME) was produced during the event but the location of the source region does not favor Earth-directed CMEs. This will change in the days ahead as the region turns into geoeffective position.

This event was associated with a Type II radio sweep, with estimated velocity of 614 km/s, and a 10 cm Radio Burst lasting 2 minutes, with peak flux of 122 sfu.

Type II emissions occur in association with eruptions on the Sun and typically indicate a coronal mass ejection is associated with a flare event.

A 10cm radio burst indicates that the electromagnetic burst associated with a solar flare at the 10cm wavelength was double or greater than the initial 10cm radio background. This can be indicative of significant radio noise in association with a solar flare. This noise is generally short-lived but can cause interference for sensitive receivers including radar, GPS, and satellite communications.

A coronal mass ejection (CME) was observed in SOHO/LASCO C2 imagery starting at 03:48 UTC.

Region 2994 and Region 2993 form a cluster of active sunspots that have produced significant flaring prior to appearing on the eastern limb.

Solar activity is expected to be active over the next week as these sunspots migrate across the visible disk.

  1. WHY are so so many conspiracists, evangelicals and mental rejects trolling the comments sections of science websites? Desperate for attention? Shills for the planet raping industries? Dunning-Kruger magic? If we are doomed as a species – these comments may illustrate the “how” and “why”. To the rest of the science-loving community, I wish you well. We all have much work to do, to counter-balance all this flaming ignorance.

  2. X-class solar flares started taking place. This is a sign that solar maximum is approaching. However, as I stated many times in the last a few years the coming solar maximum will be the strongest solar maximum ever. Up to now, the most powerful flare measured with modern methods was in 2003. It was so powerful that it overloaded the sensors measuring it. The sensors cut out at X28. But, in the peak of this cycle, the Sun will produce stronger flares than that one. However, so far my prediction came out to be correct about the current cycle and the EXPERTS came out to be wrong. Thus, when I say that the gaseous model of the Sun is wrong and I know the physical reality of the Sun and how to replicate its true nuclear fusion reaction then you must believe me.

      1. Thank you very much KDE. THE COMPREHENSIVE RESEARCH PAPER THAT WILL RESCUE SOLAR PHYSICS AND PROVIDE HUMANITY WITH THE GREATEST GIFT WILL BE PUBLISHED THIS YEAR

2022 will be remembered as the year that solar physics was rescued from theoreticians after 130 years of theoretical speculation, abstract notions and numerical modeling. Unfortunately, the opinion of theoreticians is still the superior one, even after the space age and the invention of advanced electronic devices that were used in space instruments like satellites, space probes and many other detection and observation instruments. In fact, since the start of the space age, the theoretical speculation, abstract notions and numerical modeling have increased by orders of magnitude. In other words, all the data that were obtained by the advanced space instruments which contradicted of course all the theoretical solar models were twisted in order to suit those theoretical models. It is a complete outrage (observations must suit the theory and not the other way around). However, in my comprehensive research paper, THE TRUE PHYSICAL STRUCTURE OF THE SUN AND HOW TO REPLICATE ITS NUCLEAR FUSION REACTION, I have presented huge amount of observational data that contradict the current model and at the same time those data support my proposed model. Moreover, there is no solar feature or solar phenomenon that cannot be explained with this proposed model. Furthermore, and most importantly, replicating the nuclear fusion reaction of the sun is completely out of the question without following this proposed model.

    1. Jamal, many of the things you say may actually come true eventually, and the long awaited megadoom may finally arrive, but I find it more than hilarious that for a couple of years now most of your grim doomsday predictions have been just a things to laugh at. Like the Yellowstone eruption, which you wrote as a 100% inevitable event that specific year. Along many others. You are a well educated man, but unfortunately there’s a hint of egotistical negative energy force drive, which you claim “just facts”, or if I assume even worse: you don’t actually have a clue and those are just hunch guesses coming from your imagination. This proves that if you only use your logic and intellect, soon there’s nothing for you to slice with the sword anymore. The way you talk about the sun is pretty cool, but for god’s sake, don’t say you know anything to happen. It just makes you look like a fool. If you get something right eventually, good for you. Still, I would suggest a hardcore self-inquiry and consciousness evolution hyperleap for you to make a peaceful and positive impact in the universe for the times to come.

      1. Well, you are one of those green-eyed monsters and I do not blame you, after all it is the sun that gives us life. Anyway, if my prediction about the eruption of Yellowstone is off by two or three years it is still an outstanding prediction compared to the prediction of USGS. Those experts at USGS have stated many times that the volcano will not erupt in our life. Yellowstone will erupt soon and when it erupts the liberation of Iraq will get underway and that of course will be very sad news for you, since the liberation of the entire Arab world will follow. Be patient, Yellowstone will erupt and then you will disappear and never make a comment under your real name on the Watchers. Furthermore, and most importantly, my upcoming research paper that will be published with a well known journal is more valuable than ONE MILLION NOBEL PRIZES. All the green-eyed monsters and the myth makers will be very sad in their life and spinning in their graves afterwards. It will be a sweet victory, sweeter than the whole money of the world
