Calgary has broken a weather record dating back 50 years as the city marked the snowiest November since 1966, according to YYC Weather Records' report on December 6, 2019. A snowfall total of 47.4 cm (18.7 inches) was registered between November 1 and 30, 2019. It was also the fifth snowiest November since records began.

The record was 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) short of 1966's total snowfall of 53.9 cm (21.2 inches), which took fourth place for the snowiest November since records started in 1881.

The third and second places were both in the 1880s, with 1896 recording a total of 57.5 cm (22.6 inches) and the following year with 64.4 cm (25.3 inches).

Calgary's absolute snowiest November ever on record was in 1914, with a total of 69.7 cm (27.4 inches) snow before December.
