Very bright fireball over southern Spain on March 28, 2021
A very bright fireball was recorded over southern Spain at about 04:21 UTC on March 28, 2021.
The bolide was generated by a rock from an asteroid that hit the atmosphere at about 96 000 km/h, said Dr. Jose M. Madiedo, principal investigator of the SMART Project and professor at the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC).
The fireball began at an altitude of about 82 km (51 miles) over the province of Jaén (Andalusia) and ended at a height of around 29 km (18 miles) over the province of Albacete (Castilla-La Mancha).
This bright meteor was recorded in the framework of the SMART project, operated by the Southwestern Europe Meteor Network (SWEMN) from the meteor-observing stations located at Sevilla, La Hita (Toledo), La Sagra (Granada), Sierra Nevada (Granada), Calar Alto (Almería), and Madrid (Jaime Izquierdo, Complutense University of Madrid).

A friend told me that the Earth was going into a debris field, and that field was going to enter orbit around the sun and it would take several months to go through it, if not a year or two as it drifts through the solar system. It seems they’re right, the sightings are getting much closer together and I can’t imagine how many other streaks are over the ocean and missed.
