Very bright fireball over the Netherlands, over 400 reports received

A very bright fireball streaked through the sky over the Netherlands at 19:57 UTC (21:57 LT) on April 10, 2024. The event lasted around 4 seconds.
The International Meteor Organization (IMO) received 440 reports over the next 20 hours from users in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
Preliminary trajectory calculations show the fireball traveled in an NW direction, starting north of The Hague and ending over the sea.
The agency received 3 videos and 10 photos of the event.




This event took place ~12 hours after a very bright fireball over New Jersey, U.S. at 07:44 UTC.
Preliminary trajectory calculation shows the fireball moving in a SW direction, starting above Bridgeton, New Jersey, and ending somewhere above Kennedyville, Maryland.
