A bright fireball streaked through the night sky over Michigan, Ohio and Illinois around 04:42 UTC on May 11, 2019. The event lasted several seconds before the object disintegrated.

The American Meteor Society (AMS) received over 265 reports by 10:00 UTC on May 13. The fireball was seen over Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio and Ontario.
