Two bright fireballs over Spain on September 10 and 12, 2017
SMART Project framework recorded two bright meteor fireballs over Spain on September 10 and 12, 2017.
The first one was recorded over the province of Toledo and Ciudad Real at 23:26 UTC on September 10. The luminous phenomenon began at an altitude of about 80 km (49.7miles) and moved in a southeast direction. It burned out about 30 km (18.6 miles) above Ciudad Real.
The second one was recorded at 01:35 UTC on September 12, 2017 over the provinces of Cáceres and Toledo. This one began at a height of about 84 km (52.2 miles) and ended at an altitude of 31 km (19.3 miles).
Both objects were recorded in the framework of the SMART Project from the astronomical observatories of Calar Alto (Almería), La Hita (Toledo, Spain), Sevilla and Huelva, Spain.
