Dudding Lake tornado injures 1 in Manawatū, New Zealand
At least one person was injured after a tornado struck a motor camp near Lake Dudding in rural Manawatū on Wednesday afternoon (LT), December 3, 2025.

While the exact time of the tornado’s touchdown is not known, emergency crews rushed to the scene after a tornado report at around 12:36 local time (LT) on Wednesday.
FENZ shift manager Murray Dunbar said a fire truck was at the scene alongside ambulance staff who were assessing four patients, reported RNZ.
The Rangitīkei District Council confirmed at least one injury due to the twister.
The injured person was transferred to Whanganui Hospital for treatment. The tornado also damaged a caravan in the area, along with multiple trees, leaving over 180 customers without power.
