Asteroids 2019 VB5 and VF5 flew past Earth within 1 lunar distance

Two newly discovered Apollo-class asteroids designated 2019 VB5 and VF5 flew past Earth within 1 lunar distance on November 9, 2019.

2019 VB5 was first observed at Mt. Lemmon Survey, Arizona on November 8, one day before its close approach. The object flew past us at a speed (relative to the Earth) of 6.2 km/s at 17:29 UTC at a distance of 0.38 LD / 0.00097 AU (145 109 km / 90 167 miles).

Its estimated diameter is between 1.2 and 2.7 m (4 - 9 feet).
