A newly discovered asteroid designated 2019 OD3 flew past Earth at 0.49 LD / 0.00126 AU (188 493 km / 117 124 miles) on July 28, 2019. This is the 33rd known asteroid to flyby Earth within 1 LD since the start of the year and the 7th this month.

2019 OD3 is Apollo-class asteroid, first observed at ATLAS-MLO, Mauna Loa, Hawaii on July 27, 2019.

Its estimated diameter is between 11 and 25 m (36 - 82 feet).

It flew past us at a speed (relative to the Earth) of 18.10 km/s at 02:56 UTC.
