A damaging tornado touched down near Elberta, Alabama, causing significant damage to multiple structures as a tornado-warned storm moved through Baldwin County on Sunday night, October 26, 2025.

The tornado was confirmed by the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Mobile, Alabama, at 23:30 local time (LT) on Sunday.
“Confirmed tornado near County Road 87 near Woerner Road in the Elberta, AL community, moving east. Seek shelter immediately!” said NWS Mobile.
While the structure of the tornado itself wasn’t clearly visible due to the lack of light at night, videos shared on social media showed heavy rainfall and strong winds accompanying the storm.

The tornado reportedly damaged a machine shed roughly 10 km (6 miles) northeast of Elberta, along with multiple other structures.
While the storm was initially confirmed via radar, multiple videos of the tornadic storm and subsequent damage surfaced on social media. The tornado is currently unrated, as the NWS has yet to conduct a damage survey in the affected areas to determine its strength.

By 23:15 LT, the tornado had lifted off the ground. However, the NWS warned that another tornado could land south of Seminole, Alabama, moving east-northeast toward Bellview, Florida.
“Areas between Bellview and I-10 need to seek shelter immediately,” warned the NWS.
