More than 75 missing after landslide hits 32 buildings in Mahad, Maharashtra

As many as 75 people are feared missing after a large landslide caused by heavy rains affected 32 buildings in Taliye village in Mahad, Maharashtra, India on July 22, 2021.

The village is located 14 km (8.8 miles) from Birwadi in Mahad taluka.

The information was shared by the Sarpanch of Taliye village, the Mumbai Live reports.

NDRF teams are still clearing the debris and searching for people under the rubble.

Constant heavy rainfall is affecting relief work which is said to be slowing down.

Monsoon season is in full effect with rains intensifying in several parts of the country, especially Maharashtra, Telangana, and many more.
